Two piece bongo drum – brown is a percussion instrument. It has two drums
attached to each other. They are also known as membranophones and these instruments
to create sound though vibration. This is done by hitting the stretched
membrane repeadtly.
Bongo drums are known to produce high-pitched like the conga
drums. These drums are held behind the knees. The larger one of the drum is
kept on the right for right-handed people. It is mostly played by hand.

Bongos are and African Cuban percussion instrument
which are made of a pair of small open bottomed drums. Most commonly used in Cuba and the attached
drums are also a creation of the Cubans. The bongo soon became the most popular
instrument that was played.
